Tracy Merkley remains one of the top goalkeepers in Keuka College Women’s Soccer history. The impact she had on the program was felt immediately as she was in goal as a freshman, leading Keuka College to the NAIA Eastern Regionals. She was honored, along with teammates Hilary Hughes and Lisa Fuchs, as All-Americans, the first in Keuka College history across any sport. To this day, Merkley’s 785 career saves is atop the Keuka College Record Book and is a mark that may stand the test of time. She also ranks fourth all time or higher in career shutouts and career goals against average. Highlighting her senior season was a school record 258 saves, breaking the previous record of 221, which Merkley set in 1988.
