Chelsea Socha literally rewrote the Keuka College Cross Country Record Book during her tenure in Keuka Park. To date, Socha has nine of the ten fastest 5k times in school history, the top two 4k times in school history, and four of the top five 6k times in school history. Her 5k time of 20:19, which is ranked fifth overall, came at the 2009 North Eastern Athletic Conference Championships. Socha won a sprint to the finish line, winning by 1.2 seconds to claim Keuka College’s first and only NEAC Individual Cross Country Championship. Socha actually lowered her time in 2010, but was runner-up, earning First Team All-Conference honors. Socha excelled in the classroom as well while at Keuka, earning NEAC Scholar-Athlete honors.
