KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — Keuka College Field Hockey duo
Kirstin Billings and
Jordan Nichols were named All-Conference by the Empire 8 coaches on Wednesday morning.
Both Billings and Nichols were selected Third Team All-Empire 8. It was the first selection for both seniors. It keeps a streak running for the Wolves as two players have been named All-Empire 8 for three straight years.
Kirstin Billings capped her career at Keuka College by becoming the all-time leading goal scorer in program history. She set a new career high with nine goals this season to push her career total to the record-breaking 25 goals. Billings also holds the career record for game-winning goals and scored the deciding tally in both of Keuka College's victories this season.
In goal for the Wolves has been senior
Jordan Nichols. She played 14 games for the Green and Gold. Nichols totaled 170 saves this season, falling one shy of her career-best season. She tied for the conference lead in saves as well. Averaging 12.69 saves per game, Nichols ranked sixth in Division III. Like Billings, Nichols had a career achievement this season. She became the all-time leader for total saves in a career and is the first Keuka College Field Hockey goalie to surpass 500 career saves.
Along with the all-conference selections, the team selections for Empire 8 Sportswoman of the Year were announced.
Kirstin Billings was Keuka College's selection.
Billings was one of 10 from the conference honored. From the conference's release, "The Empire 8 Conference emphasizes that 'Competing with Honor and Integrity' is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission. These honorees have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportswomen."
