ONEONTA, N.Y. — The Keuka College Field Hockey team lost at Hartwick College on Saturday 6-0 in an Empire 8 contest to close the 2024 season.
Keuka College finishes 2-14 and 2-7 in the Empire 8.
Jordan Nichols made 13 saves for the Wolves.

The Wolves opened on the front foot, building an attack against the Hawks. Two minutes in, it resulted in a corner. However, the offensive opportunity ended up being with Hartwick on the counter, but Nichols made the save. The Wolves were able to create pressure with four corners in the opening quarter, but it would be the Hawks with the goal, as Hartwick led 1-0 after the first.
Hartwick went right down the field to start the second quarter. Nichols made the initial save but the rebound was hit in to double the hosts' lead just 17 seconds into the frame. Hartwick controlled the play, outshooting Keuka 6-0, and led 2-0 at the half.
The third quarter was all Hartwick. The Hawks again scored within the first minute of the quarter. That sparked a four-goal frame for Hartwick as they levied 13 shots against the Wolves in the third quarter. Hartwick took a 6-0 lead into the final quarter.
The game was seen out in the fourth. Shots were 4-1 in favor of Hartwick. Neither team scored in the frame as the Hawks defeated the Wolves 6-0.
