St. John Fisher Tops Keuka College 5-0

PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The Keuka College Field Hockey team lost at St. John Fisher College on Wednesday evening by the score of 5-0 in a non-conference game.

The Wolves (0-14, 0-2 NEAC) will remain on the road as they travel to North Eastern Athletic Conference foe Wells College on Saturday.

Elizabeth Sherman made nine saves for the Wolves.

St. John Fisher College attacked quickly, scoring on two of their first three shots of the game against Keuka College. The Wolves settled into the game and were able to get a shot on goal by Brianna Coia as well as a penalty corner. St. John Fisher pinned Keuka College back in their own end, outshooting the Wolves 14-1 in the first half. The Cardinals added two more goals on their way to the 4-0 halftime lead.

Sherman was called upon for an early save in the second half, but Keuka was able to build some offense. They got three penalty corners within a five and a half minute span, but were unable to score. The action in the game slowed as Fisher took possession towards the end of the game. The Cardinals were awarded a penalty corner as time expired and converted on it as they defeated Keuka College 5-0.
