KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — Keuka College Baseball's game against Alfred University on Friday at Kuhl Field was suspended due to weather and field conditions in the bottom of the third inning.
At the time, Keuka College led Alfred 6-0.
Kyle Wood hit a solo home run in the first inning for the Wolves and
John Valinoti backed that up with a solo shot in the second. Valinoti's home run sparked a five-run inning for Keuka College to build their lead.
Mason Smith worked the three innings for the Wolves on the mound, striking out four Saxons while keeping them off the board.
A plan to resume the game and complete the series is being discussed between the two institutions. At time of posting, the Wolves and Saxons are slated for a doubleheader at Keuka College on Sunday.
