KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — Keuka College junior guard Akinlana Popoola was voted Third Team All-Empire 8 Conference by the league's coaches on Thursday.
 
Popoola led the Wolves in scoring with 376 points, averaging 15.7 points per game. He made 53 threes which ranked as the ninth-most in a season in program history. He was also efficient shooting the deep ball. His 45.7% three-point shooting ranks as fifth-best at Keuka College. He helped facilitate the offense with at team-leading 72 assists and was a nuisance at the top of the zone on defense with 36 steals.

Overall within Empire 8 Conference games, Popoola ranked fourth in the league with 16.8 points per game in the regular season. He led the league in three-point shooting, making 47.7% of his attempts, and averaged 2.6 threes per game, fifth-best. He also was always on the floor for the Wolves, averaging 34.4 minutes in conference games.

Also honored on Thursday was junior Tyler Green. He was named Keuka College's representative for Empire 8 Men's Basketball Sportsman of the Year.

Green was one of 12 from the conference honored. From the conference's release, "The Empire 8 Conference emphasizes that 'Competing with Honor and Integrity' is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission. These honorees have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportsmen."
