KEUKA PARK, N.Y. —
Brooke Burd and
Mary Cotter each recorded a double-double for the Wolves as Keuka College defeated SUNY Morrisville 63-54 in a non-conference game on Saturday afternoon.
Burd led Keuka College (5-4, 0-1 Empire 8) with 22 points and 17 rebounds.
Mary Cotter and 12 and 12 for the double-double.
Courtney Moreau was also in double figures with 10 points.

Keuka College got out to a fast start as they won the opening tip.
Lillian Mullen passed to
Mary Cotter on the wing, who knocked down a three. The Wolves scored the first five, but Morrisville responded with seven straight. Keuka snapped the run and would score 10 straight to extend the lead. The Wolves led 19-13 after one.
In the second quarter, Keuka College pushed their lead out to nine in the opening minute, their largest of the first half. SUNY Morrisville cut into the margin and cut it down to two at 24-22, but Keuka College outscored the Mustangs 10-3 over the final five minutes to lead 34-25 at the break.

Courtney Moreau provided a spark for the Wolves off the bench. The first year hit a three midway through quarter to make it 41-33 Keuka. She then followed a Mustang basket with another three to push the lead to nine points. Cotter hit a late jumper for the Wolves as Keuka carried an 11-point lead, 46-35, into the final quarter.
The Wolves controlled the lead and kept the margin in double figures for most of the fourth quarter. Keuka led by as many as 16 in the frame. The Wolves continued on to the 63-54 victory.
KC Notes:
- The win snapped a five-game winning streak for Morrisville over Keuka College. It was Keuka's first win against the Mustangs since the 2018-19 season
- Keuka College remains ahead of the Mustangs 16-12 in the all-time series and 9-5 on their home floor
- Burd set a new career-high with 22 points. It was her 11th career double-double and sixth of the season for the Wolves
- Senior Mary Cotter recorded her second double-double of the season and her career. She also reached 800 career points in the win
- It was the second time this season that Burd and Cotter recorded double-doubles in the same game
- Sophomore Lillian Mullen scored seven for the Wolves. She reached 100 points for the season and 300 for her career
- Emilee Bacon added on the rebounding effort with nine boards for the Wolves. As a team, Keuka College had a season-high 56 rebounds
