KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — Keuka College junior
Nina Scott was named Empire 8 Women's Volleyball Co-Player of the Week on Monday.
The senior had a big week for the Wolves, totaling 49 kills, 4.45 kills per set, across three matches for Keuka.
Scott's week began with 12 kills and a pair of aces in Keuka's sweep over Elmira College. She also tied her career-high with four blocks against the Soaring Eagles. Scott then increased that total with a match-high 14 kills against Hartwick on Friday night.
She closed out the week with a career performance against Russell Sage. The junior set a new career high with 23 kills in a five-set match against the Gators on Saturday.
For the year,
Nina Scott has 212 kills, setting a new personal best for kills in a season. She currently ranks sixth in the Empire 8 Conference, averaging 2.90 kills per set. Scott also ranks in the top ten in the league in aces per set and leads the Wolves with 36 on the season.
Keuka College will close out the regular season on the road this weekend. The Wolves will play at Utica University on Friday night and then play in a tri-match at SUNY Poly on Saturday. Keuka will need to defeat both the Pioneers and the Wildcats as well as get some help across the conference to qualify for the Empire 8 Tournament.
