KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Soccer team lost at home on Tuesday night 1-0 to Penn College in a non-conference match.
Keuka College (1-5, 0-1 Empire 8) thought they had the equalizer with 13 seconds left in regulation, but it was called back due to offsides.

Keuka College had a good early chance as
Owen Thorpe found himself alone by the penalty spot following a corner kick, but sent the shot high. Later in the first, Penn started to build their attack. They got a shot on goal but
Carson Smith made a diving save to keep the game scoreless. The Wildcats would break through in the 30th minute as a free kick was headed over Smith for the 1-0 lead. The Wolves had a chance to respond as
Evan Pellerito found a streaking
Griffin Herron between the Penn defense. Herron's touch was a little strong and allowed Penn's keeper to come out and collect the ball.
The Wolves increased their chances in the second half. After having just two shots in the first 45 minutes, the Wolves had 10 in the second. The Green and Gold had a run of multiple corner kicks midway through the half, but the efforts were either blocked or wide. In the 82nd minute, a corner kick resulted in a loose ball in the box for Keuka, but Penn was able to clear it. Minutes later,
Sean Malley nearly tied it, but his header went off the crossbar. The game would go down to the final seconds. A foul was called on Penn College with 20 seconds remaining. Keuka pulled everyone forward for the 35-yard free kick. The delivery would be knocked from the penalty spot towards the left post and
Nico Leone headed it in for Keuka College, only to have the goal called back due to offsides. The final seconds expired as the Wildcats defeated the Wolves.

Up Next for Keuka College: The Green and Gold will take to the road for a pair of Empire 8 Conference games starting on Saturday as Keuka College travels to Alfred University to face the Saxons. The Wolves will then travel to Elmira College for a midweek game next week before returning home on Sept. 30 to host St. John Fisher University.
