KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Soccer team tied Alfred University 1-1 in an Empire 8 Conference game at Alfred on Saturday afternoon.
Alex Bernhardt scored his first career goal in the 64th minute to get Keuka College (1-5-1, 0-1-1 Empire 8) the draw.
Carson Smith made 10 saves in goal for the Wolves.

The host Saxons started fast against the Wolves with multiple shots on goal and corner kicks in the opening minutes. Their sixth shot would put Alfred on the board in the 14th minute. The Wolves rebounded and started to build the attack for themselves. Alfred continued to put shots on the Keuka goal.
Carson Smith was called upon for four saves in the final seven minutes of the half to keep the game at 1-0 at the half.
The second half began like the first with Alfred attacking the Keuka goal. However, the Wolves were able to pull level against the run of play. The ball progressed into Keuka's attacking third.
Liam Fitzpatrick sent a long throw into the box. Alfred failed to clear the ball, heading it deeper into the box. The ball found the foot of
Alex Bernhardt near the left post and the senior went back across the goal to tie up the game. The Saxons had chances to close the game, but Keuka's defense was able to block any shot that may have been on goal. 90 minutes would end with Keuka and Alfred playing to a 1-1 draw.

- Keuka College is now 7-12-4 all-time against Alfred University. Saturday was the first result the Wolves have gotten against the Saxons since joining the Empire 8 Conference
- With his 10 saves, Carson Smith has surpassed 100 saves for his career
- Alfred had a 28-8 advantage in shots and led in corner kicks 13-1
Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves will remain on the road in conference play on Wednesday as they travel south to face Elmira College. The Green and Gold will then return home in one week to host St. John Fisher University on Saturday, Sept. 30.
