Box Score 2 KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Softball team walked off the first game in the eighth inning 4-3. However, Alfred State responded back in the second game to win 2-1.
Keuka College (1-9) would go to extra innings in game one. Jordyn Fargo tripled in the bottom of the eighth inning to give the go ahead run to third base. Joan Carroll would send her home with a base hit to give Keuka the win. Game two would be another close game but Alfred State came out with the win.
Keuka College 4 vs Alfred State 3
Alfred State got on the board first in the second inning but the damage would only be one. The Wolves responded with a single from Fargo. Fargo would come around to score from a double from Makaela Mills.
The Green and Gold started things off in the fourth inning with a double by Fargo which would bring up Carroll who ripped a single to center field to score Fargo. The Wolves would only get one to take the lead 2-1.
The Wolves added to the score in the fifth inning, leadoff hitter Helena Hill slapped a base hit and followed Abby Eising with a base hit. Kelsey Mohl moved the runner's on a fielder's choice. Emily VanDelinder pocked a base hit to center field to score Hill to make the score 3-1.
Alfred State responded with two runs to tie the game at three. The Wolves defense kicked in and stopped the damage to make the score 3-3. Alfred State loaded the bases in the top of the seventh but Mohl would get out of the inning.
In the bottom of the eighth, the Wolves started it off with a triple to the left field fence from Fargo. Following Fargo would come up Carroll would drive a ground ball down the first baseline to walk off the first game.
Lead Wolf: The big hit of the game came from the bat of Joan Carroll the second baseman. Carroll drove a base hit down the first baseline to bring in the go ahead run. Carroll also went had another single earlier in the game score another run.
Alfred State 2 vs Keuka College 1
The Pioneers got things going in the first inning as they loaded the starting pitcher Kelsey Mohl would get out of the inning. Alfred State would load the bases again in the fourth inning and would score two runs but Wolves defense would stop the damage here the Pioneers would lead 2-0 after four.
The Green and Gold threatened runs in the fourth and fifth inning but would be stopped by Alfred States defense. In the sixth inning, Cole reached first base on an error and would come around to score from a single up the middle from Mohl to cut the lead in half, 2-1.
The last at bat for the Wolves wouldn't be enough and Alfred States defense would stop the rally.
Lead Wolf: Kelsey Mohl had the base hit to score the lone run. The pitcher went three innings with one strikeout and no runs allowed.

- Keuka College and Alfred State are 6-4 all-time in Keuka College History
- In 2019 was the last time these two met and had the same result as today with a split series.
