Five Wolves Named Softball Academic All-District

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Softball team had five student-athletes named Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators.

Olivia Flynn was honored for the third time in her career. Hailey Jasinski repeated for the Wolves. Katie Landers, Alexis Kopetchny, and Grace Eagen were named for the first time.

Olivia Flynn showcased an all-around game both on the field and in the classroom. She pitched a career-high in innings as a senior while being named third-team all-conference. She also set the program record for doubles in a career as a batter and finished ranked fifth in career hits. She graduated from Keuka College with a degree in nursing.

Hailey Jasinski was a team leader for the Green and Gold. She led the Wolves in most offensive categories. She earned All-Empire 8 for the third time in her career. Jasinski had a career-high with a .463 batting average and 44 total hits. It ranked fourth overall for a season in program history for average and fifth for hits. An occupational therapy major, this is the second time that Jasinski has been named Academic All-District.

Katie Landers played a major role in her second season at Keuka College. The infielder hit .330 on the season, tying for second on the team with 31 hits. Landers is majoring in psychology and has earned multiple Empire 8 President's List selections in her time.

Alexis Kopetchy played many roles for the Green and Gold, collecting starts at catcher, third base, and as the designated player. She hit a career-best .303 on the season with 20 hits. She earned her first Academic All-District selection. Kopetchny is majoring in adolescent mathematics education at Keuka College. 

Grace Eagen rounded out her collegiate career with her first Academic All-District selection. The senior posted a career-best 16 runs batted in for her final season. Eagen graduated from Keuka College in May with a degree in psychology.

To be eligible for Academic-All District, the student-athlete must have at least a sophomore standing and carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 while playing in at least 90% of the team's games or starting two-thirds of them.
