KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Softball team opened up Empire Eight play today at home against Nazareth College. The Wolves dropped both games.

Keuka College (0-8) lost the opening game 10-5 and dropped the second game 12-5.

The Wolves jumped on the board first in the first inning from a leadoff single from Helena Hill she was moved around by a bunt from Abby Eising and a triple by Jordan Cole. Cole came around to score from a single by Kelsey Mohl to lead 2-0.

In the second inning, the Wolves would continue to hit the ball to make the Golden Eagles cause errors in the field. The Green and Gold would score two more in the inning to lead 4-0.

Nazareth College would get their bats going in the third inning as they tied the game at four. The Green and Gold added one in the fifth inning but was stopped by Nazareth's defense. The Golden Eagles added four more in the fifth inning to go up 8-5. The Golden Eagles added two more insurance runs to take the game 10-5.

Lead Wolf: Kelsey Mohl's bat today was on fire in game one. She had three singles with three RBIs.

Nazareth College 12 vs Keuka College 5

Nazareth College jumped on the board first in the second inning leading 2-0. They added two more in the fifth inning to lead 4-0.

In the sixth inning, the Wolves bats came alive. Mohl ripped a triple to the fence to score Hill and Eising to cut the Golden Eagles lead in half. Nazareth College scored eight runs in the seventh inning to extend their lead 12-2.

The Green and Gold had one more chance to make the comeback. Jordyn Fargo started things off with a base hit. Fargo came around to score from a double off the bat of Joan Carroll. Eising ripped a double the center field fence to score Carroll and Hill. The Golden Eagle defense would stop the rally as they took home the second game 12-5.

Lead Wolf: Abby Eising had two doubles in the game. Scored one run herself and had two rbi.

• Keuka College is now 10-10 all-time against Nazareth College
• Kelsey Mohls hits in both games extended her hit streak to five games which is now her personal best.
