CANADGUIGA, N.Y. – The Keuka College Softball team (8-13, 5-12E8) lost the single game against Utica College on Tuesday May 8, 2021 in the first round of the Empire Eight Tournament.

Utica College 9 vs. Keuka College 1 (5 innings)

The Wolves jumped on the board first with a triple form freshman catcher Abby Kruse and single from teammate Emily VanDelinder to score Kruse from third.

The Pioneers would get on the board in the top of the fourth adding two to take the lead 2-1. The pioneers would than continue to add seven runs in the top of the fifth extending their lead 9-1. The lead was too far for the Wolves as Utica College took the victory 9-1 in five innings.

• The Wolves are now 8-17 al-time against Utica College.
• Senior Whitney Tyler ended her career the circle with 214 career strikeouts, and 300.1 innings pitched.
• Tyler also had a 2.12 era on the season tying for eighth in Keuka College record books.
