Box Score 2 KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — Keuka College Head Softball Coach Jamie Burke won her 300th career game in charge of the Wolves on Saturday as Keuka College split an Empire 8 doubleheader with Nazareth College.
Keuka College (8-12, 8-12 Empire 8) won the first game 4-2 in walkoff fashion. Nazareth College rebounded in game two to defeat the Wolves 7-1.
Keuka College 4 vs. Nazareth College 2 – Game 1
The Golden Flyers took a 2-0 lead in the second inning, but the Wolves quickly responded. Emily VanDelinder led the inning off with a single and moved to third on a Jordan Cole double. VanDelinder scored on a Kelsey Mohl sacrifice fly and Cole came home on a Hayley Gorges groundout as the Wolves tied the game at 2-2.
The Wolves threatened in the bottom of the fourth, loading the bases with two outs, but a popout to the second baseman ended the inning and kept it tied going to the fifth inning.
The tie game remained until the bottom of the seventh. Danielle Bosch and Helena Hill both singled to start the inning off. They were bunted over by Abby Eising. Abby Kruse then blasted a double deep to left to score Bosch and Hill and give the Wolves the 4-2 walkoff victory.
Lead Wolf: Kruse had a big day at the plate for the Wolves. The freshman had a pair of hits on the day, including the game-winning, two-run double.
Nazareth College 7 at Keuka College 1 – Game 2
Nazareth College again took a 2-0 lead, this time plating a pair in the top of the first inning. The visitors added to their lead with three more in the third.
The Wolves got their first hits of the game in the bottom of the fourth and took advantage of them. Danielle Bosch led the inning off with a single up the middle. Later with two outs, Jordan Cole scored her from second with a single of her own to make the score 5-1.
The Golden Flyers added a pair of insurance runs in the seventh as they defeated the Wolves 7-1.
Lead Wolf: Jordan Cole had two of Keuka's three hits and drove in the lone run. The junior extended her career-high hitting streak to six games.

- With the split, Keuka College is 8-10 all-time against Nazareth College
- The Wolves are 7-3 against the Golden Flyers in games played at Keuka College
- The two teams first played in 1986, but Saturday was their first game since the 2010 season
- With the win in game one, Whitney Tyler moved to sixth on the career wins list with 24 over her four years
- With only three hits in game two, Keuka College saw a trio of hitting streaks snapped. Helena Hill had her eight-game streak snapped. Abby Kruse and Emily VanDelinder each had their seven-game streaks snapped. All three were personal bests
Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves have finished the regular season with an 8-20 conference record. Keuka College has clinched a berth in the Empire 8 Tournament. The Wolves will await the results around the conference to see what seed they will receive as well as the first round matchup date and time.
