Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The Keuka College Softball team swept their fourth North Eastern Athletic Conference doubleheader of the season. The Wolves defeated SUNY Cobleskill 5-0 and 10-2 on Sunday at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.

Keuka College (9-5, 8-0 NEAC) totaled 25 hits on the day. Samantha Blum, Katelyn Warren, and Maddie Dupuis all had three hits on the day. Freshman Alexa Brown doubled in both Game 1 and Game 2 for the Wolves.

Colleen Mooney struck out a career-high 10 in the shutout victory in the opener.  Janessa Vaadi allowed just two hits in the second game and helped her own cause with 3 runs batted in against SUNY Cobleskill as well.

Keuka College 5 vs. SUNY Cobleskill 0

The Wolves struck first on Sunday, scoring a run on a fielder's choice in the bottom of the second. Colleen Mooney kept SUNY Cobleskill off the board for the game. Anytime the Fighting Tigers threatened, Mooney would get strikeout and the defense would hold to escape without any damage. The Green and Gold added to their lead in the fifth. The Wolves got an RBI double by Katelyn Warren and an RBI single by Alysha Bachman to take a 3-0 lead. Shannon Johnson then doubled to score two runs, her second hit of the game, to push the lead out to 5-0. Mooney did not allow a run as Keuka College continued onto the conference victory.

Lead Wolf: Colleen Mooney was on for the Wolves in the circle. The freshman pitcher allowed only five hits in throwing the first seven-inning shutout of her career. It was her second shutout overall. Mooney set a new career-high with 10 strikeouts in the game for the Wolves.

Keuka College 10 vs. SUNY Cobleskill 2 – 5 innings

The Wolves had a big first inning to start Game 2 against SUNY Cobleskill. Keuka College scored six runs with the big hit coming from the bat of starting pitcher Janessa Vaadi. She contributed a two-run single in the inning as Keuka led 6-0 after one. In the second inning, the Wolves got two more with Vaadi and Taylor Lindig driving in runs. Fighting to stay alive, SUNY Cobleskill plated a pair of runs in the top of the fifth to extend the game, but Keuka College got those runs back in the bottom of the inning. The game ended due to the run rule on a walk-off single by Maddie Dupuis as Keuka College swept the doubleheader, winning the second game 10-2.

Lead Wolf: The walkoff single was not the only hit of the day for Maddie Dupuis. The junior set a new career-high with three hits in the game.
