The Keuka College softball team lost both games Sunday on the third and final day of the annual North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) postseason tournament, falling to Penn State-Berks (11-3) and Penn State-Abington (18-3) to eliminate the Wolfpack from the NEAC tournament.

Keuka (18-9), the NEAC North regular season champions, led 3-0 heading to the bottom of the third in the opener against Berks (18-12), before the Nittany Lions scored 11 runs over the final five innings to win.

Junior Mackenzie Cole (Ogdensburg, N.Y./Ogdensburg Free Academy) was 3-for-3 with two runs scored, and freshmen Brianna Bush (Penn Yan, N.Y./Penn Yan), Maddie Dupuis (Cohoes, N.Y./Cohoes) and Katelyn Warren (Elmira Heights, N.Y./Thomas A. Edison) each had RBI as the Wolfpack started fast.

Warren had an RBI single in the first, Dupuis had an RBI single in the second, and Bush drove in a run on a sacrifice fly as Keuka took a 3-0 lead into the bottom of the third before the Berks' bats struck for two runs in the third, a run in both the fourth and fifth, and seven runs in the sixth to win via the mercy rule.

Berks outhit the Green and Gold 18-6 to win the first game.

Taking on Abington (22-14-1), the Nittany Lions pushed across six runs in the top of the first, but junior Liz Warren (Elmira Heights, N.Y./Thomas A. Edison) sliced the lead in half with a bases-clearing double in the bottom of the frame.

Abington broke the game open with eight runs in the second, and tacked on three in the third and one in the fourth to win in five innings via the mercy rule.

Sophomore Samantha Blum (Niskayuna, N.Y./Colonie) was 2-for-3, while Warren and junior Alyssa Prince (Holley, N.Y./Elba) each had doubles in the loss for Keuka, which was outhit 15-7 in the loss to Abington.
