GAME ONE BOXSCORE GAME TWO BOXSCORE
Junior Jill Hart (Cowlesville, NY/Iroquois) posted a pair of two-hit games, but Keuka College's softball team was swept by Alfred University in a non-conference doubleheader Wednesday afternoon, falling 3-1 and 12-3 in six innings.

The Saxons (23-15) held Keuka (15-13) to just three hits in the first game.

Alfred scored on a two-out RBI double from Jasmine Picini to take a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, but the Storm hung around and only trailed 1-0 entering the fifth.

Junior starter Danielle Gravel (Sidney, NY/Sidney) worked out of trouble in the third inning to keep the deficit at one. Following a leadoff single, Gravel got Nora Passuite to fly into a double play to Hart, the right fielder who threw out Dana Torchia at third base to complete the double play.

But Jessica O'Sullivan, Alfred's starting pitcher, was too tough. She had a perfect game going through four innings, and after Alfred tacked on two runs in the top of the fifth, the Saxons led 3-0.

Hart ended the perfect game with a leadoff double down the left field line to start the bottom of the fifth. Gravel reached on a fielding error, allowing Hart to cross the plate with Keuka's first run, and after sophomore Haley Jordan (Auburn, NY/Auburn) singled, Keuka had runners at first and third with one out.

But O'Sullivan got back-to-back groundouts to end the inning and Alfred went on to win the opener.

Hart finished 2-for-3 with a run scored in the loss.

In the nightcap, the Saxons scored four runs in the third inning and added eight more in the top of the sixth to win via the mercy rule.

Hart was 2-for-3 with an RBI double, freshman Alyssa Prince (Holley, NY/Elba) added an RBI double and sophomore Sara Sloan (Heuvelton, NY/Heuvelton) had an RBI groundout in the loss for the Green and Gold.

Keuka, the North Eastern Athletic Conference's (NEAC) North Division champion, heads to Penn State-Berks for this weekend's NEAC championships.

The Storm will face the winner of Wilson and SUNY Cobleskill in its NEAC opener at 10 a.m. Saturday. If Keuka wins, it won't play again until Sunday morning.

The Storm have won NEAC's in each of the last six seasons.
