Jeff Bray has served as Keuka College’s Head Athletic Trainer since July of 1992. Overseeing 18 sports along with his staff of Geena Flickner and Phil Rahr, Bray also serves as the Associate Director of Athletics.
A native of Sterling, Kansas, he earned his bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University in 1987 and obtained his master’s degree in education from Boise State University 1990. Bray is a certified athletic trainer through the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification. He is also registered with the New York State Department of Education and is a member of both the National Athletic Trainers Association and the New York State Athletic Trainers Association.
Bray’s resume includes working as a student athletic trainer at Kansas State University, a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Boise State University, the head football athletic trainer at Illinois State University and a four-year stint as an intern / assistant athletic trainer with the Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL. Jeff serves as a board member of the Otho Davis Benevolent Foundation.
He has 26 years of athletic training experience in motorsports and professional rodeo including NASCAR, Champ Car / Indy Car Series, and the American Le Mans Series. For the past 7 years he has been a member of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Sports Medicine Team.
Bray currently resides in Penn Yan with wife, Kristen, the Director of the Keuka College Health and Counseling Center. They have a son, Tyler, a biomedical engineer who graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and a daughter Kelly, who graduated from Canisius College. Kelly is also a certified athletic trainer currently attending the physician’s assistant program at Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI.
