#17 SUNY Cortland 10 vs. Keuka College 1
Keuka broke through in the sixth, as
Dan Mrowinski delivered a single and pressure on the bases forced an error that allowed
Alex Evans to score. The Wolves continued to create traffic throughout the afternoon, drawing walks and putting runners in scoring position, but struggled to deliver the decisive hit.
On the mound, Keuka showed resilience in key spots, including a strikeout by Eshelman in the eighth to strand a pair that momentarily stalled Cortland's offense. The staff worked around traffic at times, keeping the game within reach despite consistent pressure.
Cortland gradually built separation with runs in multiple middle innings before a four-run sixth created distance and put the game out of reach.
KC Notes:
- The Wolves fall to 0-3 all-time against the Red Dragons. It was the first meeting between the two schools since 2010
- Keuka falls to 0-9 against nationally-ranked programs
- Logan Meisner, Ian Ruhmel, and Owen Garvey added hits for the Wolves
- Nate Hill and Alex Evans did a good job at the top of the lineup getting on base. Evans worked a pair of walks in the game, while Hill had a walk and was hit by the pitch
