KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Softball team ended their 2025 season in style as the Wolves walked it off for a 6-5 victory over Houghton University on Friday.
Game two of the doubleheader between Keuka College (6-28, 4-17 Empire 8) was called due to a storm that passed through Keuka Park.
Senior
Emily Cutrona had three hits in her final career game for the Wolves. Fellow senior
Makenna DeMoney had two hits and drove in three runs for the Wolves.
Giana Mruczek had the game-winning RBI for Keuka College, hitting a sacrifice fly to score pinch runner
Sienna Olney.
Keuka College 6 vs. Houghton University 5 (10 inn.)
Houghton University took the lead in the top of the third inning with a run, but the Wolves responded in the bottom of the frame.
Katie Landers led the inning off with a triple. She scored on a double by
Kaylin Ritenour to tie the game. Ritenour moved to third on a bunt single by
Hailey Jasinski. After Jasinski stole second, both runners came home on a two-run single by
Makenna DeMoney as the Wolves took a 3-1 lead.
The Wolves added to their lead in the fifth as
Kaylin Ritenour hit her second double of the game. The first-year stole third and scored on an infield single by
Makenna DeMoney to make it 4-1.
Houghton tied the game with three runs in the top of the sixth, but the Wolves responded in the bottom of the inning as
Emily Cutrona scored on the
Katie Landers sacrifice fly for the 5-4 advantage.
The Highlanders used a two-out rally in the seventh to tie the game.
Hailey Jasinski doubled for the Wolves in the bottom of the seventh but was stranded and the game would go to extra innings.
Starting pitcher
Olivia Flynn remained in the game in extra innings and got stronger. The junior struck out the side in the eighth inning. Neither team was able to able to break through in the first two extra frames and the game would go to the tenth and start with a placed runner on second base.
Houghton bunted their runner to third, but Flynn got a pair of popouts in the infield to end the threat and send Keuka to the plate.
Grace Eagen led off the tenth for the Wolves and bunted
Sienna Olney to third base. That brought
Giana Mruczek to the plate. She hit a fly ball deep enough to centerfield to allow Olney to score from third and give Keuka College the 6-5 victory.

- Emily Cutrona stole a pair of bases for the Wolves. The senior moved her career total to 26 swiped bags, tying for sixth-most in program history
- Olivia Flynn set a new career high with 10 innings pitched on Friday and 11 strikeouts. It tied for the second-most innings pitched in a game in program history and tied for fifth-most strikeouts in a game, one off the program record
- With her three hits, Hailey Jasinski finished her sophomore season tied with her rookie campaign. Jasinski posted 41 hits in both seasons with 11 doubles, three triples, and a home run in each, all while playing 34 games
- Kaylin Ritenour had her first game with a pair of doubles and Katie Landers had her first career extra-base hit with her triple
