KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Cross Country teams had a pair of seniors named to the Empire 8 Conference's Tomorrow's Leaders team.
Jesse Bolster and
Laura Barrett were honored by the conference this week.
Bolster earned his second honor from the conference, being named in back-to-back years. He ran in all seven races for the Wolves and posted a sub-seven-minute average mile time. Bolster capped his Keuka College career in the Empire 8 Championship, his 27th career race. He will graduate tied for the fourth-most races competed in in program history and with 747 wins against the field, ninth-most in a career at Keuka College.
Like Bolster,
Laura Barrett ran in all seven races for the Wolves. She posted the best season of her three-year career in her senior season. Her average finish of 92.86 and 71 wins against the field were both career bests.
Bolster and Barrett were the College's representatives for the team. One selection from each participating institution is honored per sport. From the conference's releases, "The Empire 8 Conference emphasizes that 'Competing with Honor and Integrity' is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission."
