WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — The Keuka College Men's Basketball team lost their first road game of the season, falling at Lycoming College 71-59 in a non-conference game on Wednesday.
Lamar Lovelace led Keuka College (1-2) with 11 points and
Akinlana Popoola was right behind him with 10.
Makya Morrison and
Kaleb Nutifafa each had 13 rebounds in the game.

Quinn VanKerkhove hit a three to start the game for the Wolves. The Green and Gold then answered points by the Warriors with eight in a row by
Akinlana Popoola to tie the game. A three by
Lamar Lovelace pushed Keuka ahead 14-11, but Lycoming regained the lead. The hosts widened the margin to lead by as many as 18 in the frame, holding a 43-25 lead at the half.
Lycoming pushed the lead up to 23 in the second half, but Keuka College continued to battle. 14 unanswered points by the Wolves shrunk the margin down to single digits at 51-42 with 11 minutes remaining. Later, Keuka cut the game down to six as
Amar Jackson collected an offensive rebound and laid it in to make it 52-46. That would be as close as Keuka would make it, however. Lycoming pushed their lead back to double digits and defeated the Wolves 71-59.
KC Notes:
- Lycoming leveled the all-time series with Keuka College at 1-1. The Wolves won the meeting last year
- The Green and Gold brought down 51 rebounds against Lycoming. It is the most in a game for Keuka since January 2023
- 24 of the rebounds came on the offensive glass and led to 25 second chance points for the Wolves
- Keuka has won the rebounding battle in all three games this season
- 13 rebounds for Makya Morrison set a new personal best. The 13 for Kaleb Nutifafa was the most in a Keuka College uniform and tied his previous best set at Tompkins Cortland CC
