Box Score HOUGHTON, N.Y. — The Keuka College Field Hockey team lost at Houghton University 11-0 in an Empire 8 Conference game on Wednesday night.
Jordan Nichols made 13 saves in goal for Keuka College (1-4, 0-1 Empire 8) and
Sam Hall added a pair of stops.

The Highlanders attacked early against the Keuka College goal. They had seven shots on frame, but Nichols was there to stop them all and keep the game scoreless after the first quarter.
Houghton broke through 1:14 into the second quarter to take a 1-0 lead. It would be the first of five goals they would score in the frame as the Highlanders led 5-0 at halftime.
The hosts remained in control of the game. Houghton scored two more goals in the third quarter and closed the game with four in the fourth to secure the conference victory.

- Keuka College falls to 0-8 all-time against Houghton University. Wednesday was the first time in the series that Keuka was shut out
- Shots were 33-1 in favor of Houghton and the Highlanders led in corners 9-1
- 13 saves is a season-high for Jordan Nichols. The junior became just the third goalie in program history to surpass 200 career saves
Up Next for Keuka College: Keuka College returns home on Friday to kick off Green and Gold Celebration Weekend. The Wolves will host Nazareth University at 7 p.m. at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex. The last two games between the Wolves and Golden Flyers have gone to overtime with Keuka winning 4-3 last year in the last game of the year to clinch a playoff berth.
