KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Lacrosse team lost at home on Saturday afternoon to visiting Mount Saint Mary College 13-6 at the Jepshon Community Athletic Complex.
Julia Bauder led Keuka College (0-1, 0-0 Empire 8) with three goals in the game. Sophomore
Alyssa Chase turned away 11 shots in her first collegiate game in goal.

Both teams had opportunities on their first possession as the Knights won the opening draw and hit the post. Keuka then followed with possession, but their shot was saved. Mount Saint Mary opened scoring with a goal 2:36 into the game. After pushing it to 2-0, the Wolves pulled one back as

Maddie Fassinger for the goal. The Knights answered on a free position, but Bauder responded with her first to make it 3-2 after one.
The Green and Gold tied the game at 3-3 with
Trinity Burton finishing on a free position shot minutes into the second. The visitors responded with four straight, however, to open a four-goal lead.
Brooke Bonetti netted a goal before halftime, but the Wolves trailed 7-4 at the break.
Both goalies stood tall in the third quarter. Chase made three stops for Keuka in the frame, but the Mount Saint Mary keeper recorded four to keep the Wolves off the board. The Knights outscored the Wolves 2-0 in the third and carried a 9-4 lead into the final quarter.
Mount Saint Mary got the first goal of the fourth, but the Wolves answered back quickly.
Julia Bauder snapped a 20-plus minute goalless drought for Keuka with a tally. It would take only 44 seconds for the Wolves to strike again.
Trinity Burton won the draw control and Bauder would score to make it 10-6 with 9:07 remaining. However, that would be Keuka's final goal of the game. The Knights added three insurance goals and saw the clock out as Mount Saint Mary College defeated Keuka College 13-6 on Saturday.

- Saturday was just the second time Keuka College has faced Mount Saint Mary College in women's lacrosse. The Knights have won both meetings
- The Green and Gold are now 10-9 all-time in season-opening games
- Flipping back to last season, Bauder now has recorded a hat trick in back-to-back games
- Madeline Greene posted a game-high of five draw controls. As a team, Keuka held a 13-10 edge in the center circle
- The Wolves had chances from the eight-meter line but went 1-5 on free position shots. Mount Saint Mary converted both of their chances, going 2-2
Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves are next on the road to face a pair of teams from the SUNYAC. Keuka College first plays at Fredonia State on Wednesday. Keuka then travels to Buffalo State a week later. It will be the first time Keuka College has played either school in women's lacrosse.
