KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Volleyball Team (7-15, 3-5E8) fell to the Hartwick College Hawks (16-4, 7-1 E8) 4-1 on Friday night at the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center. 

Dayna Edholm (Buffalo, N.Y./ Sweet Home) had 12 kills on the night. Emma Sipos (Canandaigua, N.Y./ Canandaigua Academy) had a new single-game high personal best with 32 digs. Casey Hunziker (Rome, N.Y./ Rome Free Academy) had 32 assists.

Keuka College 1 vs Hartwick College 3:
The first set of the night was the best for the Wolves. They jumped up to a 2-0 lead and held it for the rest of the match. Dayna Edholm delivered a service ace to bring the Wolves to a 14-9 lead. The Hawks battled back to bring the score to 14-13, but a kill from Megan McCann (Victor, N.Y./ Victor) put the Wolves back on track. From there the Wolves remained dominant and a final kill from Dayna Edholm gave the Wolves a 25-20 win in the first set.

The Hawks came back strong in the second set. They took the lead in the beginning, but the Wolves worked hard to keep the game close. The Hawks went on a nine-point run to put the Wolves behind 11-4. With the score at 21-13, the Wolves threatened a comeback with back-to-back kills from Ava Hubbard (Avon, N.Y./ Avon) and Dayna Edholm. However, the Hawk's offense was too strong, and they took the second set 25-15.

The Wolves jumped up to a quick 5-1 lead in the third set, but the Hawks worked to fight back to tie the game 5-5. From there the game went back and forth until it was tied 13-13. The Hawks went on a four-point run and took control of the set. Kills from Casey Hunziker and Dayna Edholm were the Wolves' last points of the game, but again, it was not enough to stop the Hawks and they won the third set 25-19.

The Hawks controlled the fourth set of the night, but the Wolves fought to keep the game close. Two aces in a row from Jessica Throop (Grant, Mich./ Grant) brought the game to a tie at 12-12. A kill from the Hawks put them back on top and they went on to win the set 25-19 and the match 3-1.

• Keuka College is 9-8 all-time against Hartwick College.
• With her 34 assists tonight, Casey Hunziker has reached 1,000 assists in her career. She has also moved into 7th place overall in career assists.
• Caitlynne Marczyk (Livonia, N.Y./Livonia) has reached 100 digs on the season.
• Emma Sipos reached a personal best in digs in a single game with 32. She also ties the record for 8th with individual digs in a 4-set match.
