Box Score ELMIRA, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Soccer team lost on Saturday at Elmira College 4-2 in an Empire 8 matchup.
Suleman Sey and Nicolas Leone each scored for Keuka College (2-10-2, 0-5-1 Empire 8). Cory Cangemi made six saves for the Wolves.
Elmira College 4 vs. Keuka College 2
Elmira College struck first on Saturday and then quickly doubled their lead as they scored on 14 and 18 minutes to take the 2-0 advantage. The Wolves responded as play was balanced. Keuka held a 9-8 edge in shots in the opening 45, but the Soaring Eagles held the edge on the scoreboard. The hosts bumped their lead to three goals in the final minutes and held the 3-0 lead at the break.
The game was given a wrinkle in the 49th minute as Elmira was dropped to 10 men following a red card. However, the Soaring Eagles would add to their lead minutes later with their fourth goal of the afternoon. A minute after going up 4-0, Elmira committed a foul in the box, giving the Wolves a penalty kick. The attempt by Connor Thorpe was saved, but the Elmira keeper was given a yellow card on the play. As a result, the Wolves got a second attempt and Suleman Sey put it home to make it 4-1. The Wolves got another back with 15 minutes left to play as Nico Leone scored, but it would be the last shot on goal of the afternoon for Keuka. Elmira saw the game out for the 4-2 conference victory.

Up Next for Keuka College: Keuka College enters the final week of the regular season with one home game and one road game remaining. The Wolves will host St. John Fisher at 4pm on Wednesday at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex. Keuka will then close the 2021 season on the road at Alfred University on Saturday.
