Wolves Defeat Wells 20-6 on Senior Day

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Lacrosse team closed the 2018 regular season with a 20-6 North Eastern Athletic Conference victory over Wells College on Saturday at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.

Keuka College (9-5, 5-3 NEAC) was led by four goals and two assists from sophomore Mark Shattuck. Brandon Clark and Seth Bush each added three-goal games in the win for the Wolves.

Keuka College jumped out to a three-goal lead as Seth Bush, Kasey Gallina, and Mark Shattuck all scored as the Wolves led 3-0 halfway through the first quarter. Keuka College held a 4-1 lead after the opening quarter.

The second quarter was all Keuka College. The Wolves scored 11 straight goals in the second quarter, three coming on the man-up. Wells College got a goal at the buzzer, but the Wolves led 15-2 at the half.

Senior Jordan Porter-Lemon kicked off the second half with a goal on Senior Day. The Wolves outscored the Express 4-1 in the frame. Senior goalie Kyle Andrake made four saves in the quarter the Wolves carried a 19-3 lead into the final quarter.

Porter-Lemon tallied his second goal of the game in the fourth quarter, but the Express outscored the Wolves 3-1 in the quarter. Keuka College's lead was too much for Wells College to overcome as the Wolves continued onto the 20-6 victory on Saturday.

  • The Wolves remain a perfect 11-0 all-time against Wells College
  • Andrew Burns added to his goal total. He now has 92 in his career, tying for 9th most in school history
  • Kyle Andrake made a season-high eight saves, playing in the second half for the Wolves
  • Brandon Clark has recorded a hat trick in back-to-back games
  • Mark Shattuck now has 27 assists this season, tying for seventh most in program history
  • Jake Carlson won 14 faceoffs for Keuka. He now has 148 this season, third on the single season list
  • Harold Pallone tied his career-high with 11 groundballs. He moved into a tie with Matt Mahalick '17 for the most groundballs in a season at Keuka College with 93

Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves now await the seeding and matchups for the 2018 North Eastern Athletic Conference Tournament. Keuka College finished the regular season with a 5-3 record in conference games, finishing in fourth place.
