Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Keuka College Men's Basketball team earned their fifth conference win of the season by defeating Penn College 90-72 on Sunday at Bardo Gymnasium.
Keuka College (8-12, 5-9 NEAC) will remain on the road on Wednesday was they face divisional foe Cazenovia College at 5:30pm.
Casey Williams had a game-high 20 points. It was the seniors sixth time scoring 20 or more points this season. Also in double-digits was Cliff Stevens with 13 points, Greg Tyler with 10 points and Dylan Doupe with 10 points. Tyler also led Keuka with a career-high nine rebounds. Dylan Doupe's 10 points helped Keuka's bench outscore Penn's bench 39-6.
Penn College came out eying the deep shot. Their first four field goals were threes as they took an early lead. However Keuka got three pointers from Casey Williams and Sam Brown to keep the game in hand. The Wildcats stayed ahead with another three pointer to take a 20-13 lead halfway through the first. The Green and Gold came thundering back. They went on an 18-3 run to flip the game and take a 31-23 lead with 5:33 left in the first. Keuka pushed the lead to double-digits late in the half. Sam Brown made his second three pointer with seven seconds left to send Keuka into the locker rooms with a 44-31 lead.
Keuka would push the lead to 20 points within five minutes of play in the second half. Penn used a 12-2 run with four minutes left to play to draw the game to an eight point margin, 75-67, but Greg Tyler had an answer. The sophomore hit a three to push the lead back out to double digits and the game would not get any closer. Keuka continued on to the 90-72 victory over the Wildcats.
